To be performed as the inaugural production of
 PONTIAC THEATRE IV’s
newly created
SECOND STAGE
“LITTLE THEATRE”

PRODUCTION DATES:
Early December, 2008

“The Woolgatherer” is a darkly comic love story involving ROSE, a shy and kooky dime store salesgirl, who desperately searches for love and understanding amidst the debris of an insensitive world.  Enter CLIFF, a hard-drinking and wise-cracking trucker, who appears to be an unlikely suitor for the delicate and vulnerable ROSE.  What follows is a serio-comic exploration of the attraction between two opposites, and their frenetic yet universal search for the solace of human companionship.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

ROSE and CLIFF:  as described above, ages 18-40.
These exceptional and challenging roles require extraordinary actors who can display the full range of emotions between joy and despair.

Audition times and location by special arrangement.
Any interested actors can
call Jeff Shuster at 248-895-8236.

In association with Samuel French, Inc.

Pontiac Theatre IV proudly announces the creation of the Second Stage “Little Theatre” to commence with the 2008-2009 season.

It will offer productions that are scheduled between our mainstage shows. Multiple sites are being considered for these productions and all suggestions concerning future plays will be considered.

Our goal is to present an alternative theater experience for our audience, in an intimate setting.
Motivated actors, directors, and producers will be allowed an extraordinary opportunity to take part in productions that offer intriguing roles contained within thematically relevant and challenging material.

Our inaugural production will be “The Woolgatherer” to be presented in early October, 2008.  Please refer to the audition notice on this website for more information.

A later production, with dates not yet confirmed, will be a trilogy of related one-act plays written by our very own Jackie Sue Salter.

Please contact
Jeff Shuster at 248-895-8236
for further information regarding the Second Stage “Little Theatre” project.
