| by WILLIAM MASTROSIMONE To be performed as the inaugural production of PRODUCTION DATES: “The Woolgatherer” is a darkly comic love story involving ROSE, a shy and kooky dime store salesgirl, who desperately searches for love and understanding amidst the debris of an insensitive world. Enter CLIFF, a hard-drinking and wise-cracking trucker, who appears to be an unlikely suitor for the delicate and vulnerable ROSE. What follows is a serio-comic exploration of the attraction between two opposites, and their frenetic yet universal search for the solace of human companionship. Pontiac Theatre IV proudly announces the creation of the Second Stage “Little Theatre” to commence with the 2008-2009 season. It will offer productions that are scheduled between our mainstage shows. Multiple sites are being considered for these productions and all suggestions concerning future plays will be considered. Our goal is to present an alternative theater experience for our audience, in an intimate setting. Our inaugural production will be “The Woolgatherer” to be presented in early October, 2008.
